Privacy statement
How we handle the data you give us.
Last updated: October 2026.
Zimur Services (Industrieweg 8 A6, 2712 LB Zoetermeer) is responsible for processing your personal data through this website. This statement explains which data we use, why, how long we keep it and what your rights are.
Which data do we use?
When you request a quote:
- your name, e-mail address and phone number;
- the pickup address (if we collect) and the details of the recipient at the destination;
- details of the shipment: kind, goods, dimensions, weight, preferred period and your notes;
- photos and documents you upload. Photos are stored without location data (EXIF/GPS is removed).
The recipient's details belong to someone else. We use them only for this shipment. Please let the recipient know.
If you use our parcel service (from 1 November 2026): your name, customer number, e-mail address, phone number and address at the destination, and for each parcel the tracking number, date of receipt, number of pieces, weight, dimensions and status.
What for?
- To assess your request, send you a quote and arrange your shipment (performance of a contract or steps towards one, GDPR art. 6(1)(b)).
- To keep you informed about your request by e-mail, or to ask for additional information.
- To prevent abuse of the form (legitimate interest).
We do not use your data for advertising and we do not sell it.
Who helps us?
We work with parties that process data only on our instructions, under a data processing agreement:
- Efisia provides and manages the request and website system (CargoFlow);
- the hosting provider of our server in the EU;
- Brevo sends our e-mails;
- Cloudflare Turnstile checks that a form is sent by a person.
To complete your address we look up the street and town at PDOK (the Dutch Land Registry), using only the postcode and house number. For the transport itself we share the necessary details with carriers and customs, and for the parcel service with our partner at the destination, who receives and delivers the parcels.
How long do we keep your data?
- Requests that do not lead to an order: at most 12 months after the last change. After that, your name, contact details, addresses, notes, photos and documents are removed automatically. We only keep anonymous data (kind of shipment, destination, volume) for statistics.
- Orders: as long as needed to carry them out, plus the data the law requires for the accounts (7 years).
- Parcel service: we keep the details of a parcel for up to 24 months after it was shipped or cancelled. If your account has had no parcels for 36 months, we remove your details and your sign-in; only your customer number remains.
- Backups are encrypted and overwritten after a short period, so deleted data also disappears from them. Technical logs contain no names or contact details and are deleted after 30 days. We keep a record of who did what in our system for 24 months, without your data.
Cookies and statistics
This website does not use tracking or advertising cookies. If we measure visits to the website, we do so anonymously: without cookies and without storing your IP address. The request form keeps a draft in your own browser, so you can continue later.
Security
We use a secure connection (HTTPS). Staff sign in with two-factor authentication. Access links in e-mails only work together with your request number and a one-time code.
Your rights
You can view, correct or have your data deleted. You can also ask for a copy or object to the processing. Please contact us: Zimur Services, Industrieweg 8 A6, 2712 LB Zoetermeer, the Netherlands, e-mail info@zimurservices.com, phone +31 6 2315 0459. We respond within one month. You can also file a complaint with the Dutch Data Protection Authority (Autoriteit Persoonsgegevens).
